Marine Teak Carpets
Marine Tuft is the world’s largest exporter of all weather, indoor and outdoor tufted teak deck look carpet for marine use. Our carpet is designed to endure the harshest weather conditions including salt water and direct sunlight in hot & cold climates all over the world. We have tested our carpets to a high marine standard (test results can be viewed on our certifications page). Marine Tuft carpet uses the highest grade UV resisters, it’s mold and mildew resistant as well as resistant to chlorine and fish blood. Marine Tuft’s unique HydraBak technology allows water to simply flow through and away with gravity/camber and hoses clean. The tufted design ensures it is soft underfoot without the synthetic plastic feel you find with most other outdoor carpets. The best part is – it will stay soft underfoot. The tufting gives it greater strength, better durability and helps avoid snagging by fishing line hooks and lures.

PILE FIBER:
Standard – Marine grade 100% solution dyed polypropylene BCF fibers with maximum UV inhibitors added and premium color stabilization materials used for yarn extrusion.
Super Plush – Marine grade 100% solution dyed nylon BCF fibers with maximum UV inhibitors added and premium colour stabilization materials used for yarn extrusion.
PRIMARY BACKING:
Marine grade UV stabilized polypropylene woven cloth with specifically developed adhesives for tuft locking cut and loop pile.
SECONDARY BACKING:
Marine grade polypropylene woven cloth with specifically developed adhesives bonding primary and secondary.
NOMINAL WIDTH:
Marine Tuft carpet is manufactured in 13ft 2ins (4mtrs) and/or 6ft 1in (2mtrs) wide depending on carpet pattern & style (+/-0.5%)

Marine Tuft was founded in 2005 after the owners identified a shortcoming in what was deemed to be marine carpet. Much of what was then available was nothing better than household carpet which quickly failed once exposed to the harsh boating environment. A lot of resources and time has been devoted to sourcing the specialized materials required to enable the manufacture of such a high-quality product.
Despite having been deceived by some raw material suppliers unable to meet the high standards demanded, Marine Tuft has now perfected its supplier list and retains some of the finest producers in the world. Having done the hard yards, Marine Tuft now manufactures the finest tufted marine, indoor and outdoor carpet available. 100% Synthetic yarns with the highest resistance to UV are utilized and the finished product is backed with an adhesive especially formulated by one of Australia’s leading polymer producers, ensuring the carpet is made to resist the extraordinary effects of exposure to water, sun, salt and chlorine.
The finished product is now available in most boating countries around the world, including the USA.
